Y3 visit to Hillier Gardens
Year 3 enjoyed a wonderful day at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens!
On 14th June, Year 3 travelled to the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey to explore the gardens. We were met by wonderful leaders who showed us part of the gardens - in total there are 180 acres! - and led some exciting activities. We explored seeds and what they need to survive, went on the wobbly bridge and explored the bamboo and went pond dipping! Our favourite part of the day was pond dipping because we found so many creatures! We found beetles, newts and dragonflies in the ponds. An excellent day was had by all, and we managed to stay cool under all the amazing trees there!
